Per usual, a friend (who shall remain nameless upon request) started out my week with a heavy hitting question to ponder. Here’s the back story, which has also been altered to protect the identities
Nameless has a full-time job, is married with a little one at home. His/Her weekends are usually filled to the brim with classes, housework, date nights, catching up on work, etc. This past weekend Nameless was not able to finish all this yard/house work he/she needed to get done. So he/she decided to leave work early in order to complete the tasks. Unfortunately, Nameless needed to get in updates for an organization before he/she left for the day.
Earlier in the day we had a conversation regarding my previous post about Cornerstone. Nameless and I discussed our religious roots and current beliefs. After Nameless described his/her current situation, he/she put this question to me:
“So you ponder, did you choose your path, did your path choose you or was your path chosen for you?”
I realize this is a small matter in the grand scheme of things, but the question applies in all cases, doesn’t it?
I told Nameless that I would pose this question to my blog readers and get back to him/her with what I learned. Feel free to comment your thoughts.
